Classroom Behavior Chart
Classroom behavior is indicated in the student’s homework schedule daily. A colored square shows how a student behaved.
- Red- Bravo! This student shows outstanding behavior.
- Orange- Great Day! This student is continuing to make great choices.
- Yellow- Good Day! This student is making good choices.
- Green- Ready To Learn! All students begin the school day on the color Green.
- Blue- Warning! First misbehavior. A verbal warning and reminder will be issued. Students will be asked how their behavior should change. A time out/missed recess time will be issued if appropriate.
- Purple- Second misbehavior. Time out/missed recess.
- Pink- Continued or severe misbehavior after a note home to Parents. Removal from class and conference with the principal. Parents will be notified and may be called in for a conference.
I like to catch students being good! When I observe a student exhibiting exceptional behavior, I will have that student “clip up” to yellow, then orange and eventually red. Red students will be able to receive a prize for that week.
At the end of each day, students will fill in the behavior card color they earned that day on their homework cover sheet. Please take note of this and discuss your child's behavior (positive and negative) with him/her and a plan for improvement if applicable. This also allows teacher and parent to see behavior patterns that should be addressed.
